A nation in need receives profound trauma healing
and restored hope in Christ.
2025 Healing Groups
Mission Trip to Suva, Fiji
I am excited to share the experience of our recent
mission trip to Fiji, where we had the privilege of bringing
trauma healing to a nation in need. Our team leader,
Master Trainer Leilani Sicklesteel and Facilitator Dr.
Renee Dickerson, Victoria and Sen Sahai and I, facilitated
an equipping training at the Kinoya Assembly of God in
Suva, Fiji.
We were blessed to have Sr. Pastor Phillip Madhavan and
Pastor Shemesh Madhavan join the training, along with 10
participants from their congregation and 4 from Young
Lives Fiji, we held a 4-day training session using the
“Healing the Wounds of Military Trauma” curriculum.
The Trauma Healing Training was transformative, with
many participants experiencing profound healing and
restoration of hope.
We were extreemly blessed that the entire class
graduated as Facilitators of Healing the Wounds of
Military Trauma and are now equipped to facilitate
healing groups to their communities and local churches.
In week two, we held a healing group downtown Suva at
the C3 Grow Church. Participants were lead through the
“Healing the Wounds of Trauma: How the Church can
help” curriculum.Pastor Ben and his father-in-law, Pastor
Clarke, welcomed us with open arms after our original
venue fell through due to plumbing issues. It was clear
that God had directed us to this church, which is a
beacon of hope for the homeless and at-risk youth in the

In week two, we held a healing group downtown Suva at the C3

Pastor Ben and his father-in-law, Pastor Clarke, welcomed us
with open arms after our original venue fell through due to
plumbing issues. It was clear that God had directed us to this
church, which is a beacon of hope for the homeless and at-risk
youth in the city.
They provide a safe space for young men to escape the streets,
receiving ministry for body, mind, and spirit.
The healing group was well attended, Pastor Ben’s wife Libby
and her father Pastor Clarke attended and insisted that all their
staff participate. Many of the adult men experienced profound
healing, especially as they were encouraged to embrace and
share their true emotions with God—a practice that is often
suppressed in their culture, where men are taught to “move on”
and not express their feelings. We reviewed the scriptures that
spoke of how God desires our honest emotions and that even
Jesus wept, showing us that it is okay to express our pain and
grief.
Meeting with the Government
Pastor Ben of C3 Grow Church has been actively working with the government’s Women, Children, and Social Protection Agency regarding
the youth of Suva. He invited us to meet with Minister Sashi Kiran and her colleagues to discuss trauma healing. As it happens there is growing
trauma affecting the nation due to a military coup that happened in Fiji in 2000. Minister Kiran explained that the government passed a
motion in Parliament to establish a National Truth and Reconciliation Commission to address past grievances and promote national healing in
2024 in hopes to stop the effects of the traumatic events in the country namely, domestic violence, suicide, teenage pregnancies, and a
significant decline in school attendance among youth stemming from the military coup.
LOOKING AHEAD
As God leads us, we look forward to the possibility of returning to Fiji in September. In the meantime, we are offering upcoming online
training sessions, healing groups in Port Townsend, and other parts of the US and an in-person training event in American Samoa this
July. If you are interested in taking a Healing group, please contact me.
We are deeply grateful for your continued financial and prayer support. It is because of your partnership that we are able to bring
trauma healing to those who are hurting. God is concerned about all who suffer, and we have seen firsthand how this ministry is
restoring hope and peace to those in need. We thank you for your faithfulness and pray that God blesses you abundantly in return.
With gratitude and blessings,

We were overjoyed to present the Trauma Healing Curriculum,
which combines Bible-based principles with trauma-informed best
practices for mental health. The Minister, who is Hindu, expressed
great interest and invited us to return in September to train
additional facilitators across the country. This opportunity to
impact Fiji’s healing journey is nothing short of a miracle, and we are
seeking Gods direction as we consider this amazing opportunity to
assist the nation in this life-changing work.
It Ain't Nothin' but a Blessing!

Get Ready to Stand and receive your Blessing!
2 Chronicles Chapter 20 gives a history of the Kings of Israel. There were good kings and there were bad kings... Jehoshaphat was a good king. It was during his reign that he had a battle with some distant family members.
If you recall the story of Lot., He escaped Sodom and Gomorrah. With his two daughters. This family had all kinds of problems.
They lived in a very beautiful, but immoral place. It's sad to say, they weren't necessarily salt and light in that community. It appears from the account that they just sort of turned their face and had a “Live and let live” approach. Well, it ended up being literally a hot mess. The town was destroyed by fire. The rest of the story Is a sad and shameful account. His two daughters who fled with Lot escaped to the hill country and cooked up this insane idea and got their father drunk, and they both decided to sleep with their father in order to have children. One only wonders if this came from seeing this perverted behavior modeled to them by the culture they lived in, in Sodom and Gomorrah. What every the case, clearly, they were pretty messed up.
The children that resulted from that incestuous act were the ones who decided to pick a fight with Jehoshaphat. They were a people known for their cruelty and barbaric worship in child sacrifice to the god Molech.
Who reading this article right now, is dealing with family strife? Are your relations picking a fight with you? Is your enemy stirring up trouble in the family? Is your enemy stirring up the actions of your unsaved family members to hurt you or causing division, turmoil, and pain?
Well listen up because this test is going to be your testimony!
2 Chronicles 20:1 It came to pass after this also, That the children of Mo’av or MOAB (which means Seed of my Father), the children of Ammon (which means Inbred), and with them other Meunites [all their cousins], came against Jehoshaphat for battle.”
His people came to him and warned him saying “There comes a great multitude against you and they’re getting closer.” Oh man these crazy people are coming at us. What do we do?
The word tells us that Jehoshaphat set himself to seek the Lord. Have you taken your troubles to God? The next thing we read is that “He proclaimed a FAST throughout all Judah”. Are you putting your flesh under the control of the spirit? Fasting is powerful and breaks bondages, destroys mindsets, changes the atmosphere, and sows good seeds into the spiritual realm. The whole tribe of Judah “gathered themselves together and stood before the Lord with their little ones, their wives, and their children to ask Him for help.”
Humility in the battle will keep you protected. And God said this “Listen you, all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem” Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. The relations thought they were picking a fight with Jehoshaphat but no, they were picking a fight with God. We all know that’s not going to go well. Halleluiah!! Don’t be afraid or dismayed over the problem, the major issues and battles. Because the battle belongs to God! He will fight for YOU!
But that doesn’t mean we go hide and ignore it. No, He says, “Tomorrow go you down against them” … get your armor on, your “love” attitude right and show up! Stand your ground in Christ, Christian! He says “You shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand you still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you. He says it again “fear not, nor be dismayed; go out against them for the Lord will be with you!”
Halleluiah! God be praised!! He is with you in your battle!
Jehoshaphat chose singers to go before the army of Judah. The moment they began to shout and praise, The Lord set an ambush against their enemies, He stirred them up so bad that they turned on each other and took each other out! They were completely defeated.
Right now, that battle that is overwhelming you and stirring up fear in you, God is saying don’t be afraid or dismayed. All you need to do is stand and PRAISE Him in the face of the battle. Open your mouth and PRAISE HIM. Turn on the worship songs that ignite your heart to adore and praise God.
He’s going to fight for you and turn your battle into a blessing, your test into a testimony!
He's not only going to fight your battle and bring you the VICTORY but He’s going to bless you abundantly because of it! You didn’t ask for this battle, no, you didn’t even cause the problem. You did nothing to deserve this fight, but THEY asked for it. AND God is going to give you success and vindicate you in it.
And then the scriptures tell us that after the dust had settled “when Jehoshaphat and the people looked into the multitude, behold, there were dead bodies everywhere. No one escaped! And when the people came to take away the spoil, they found among them in abundance both riches and precious jewels more than they could carry away!
It took 3 days to gather everything up. They assembled themselves in the valley of B’rakhah which means Blessing because at the end of that battle, the place where the enemy came to fight became the BLESSING! That place is where God chose to pronounce to them you are Blessed, you are favored, happy and prosperous therefore the name of that place is called the Valley of Blessing to this day! Amen!
